Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover | Review

I had never read anything by Colleen Hoover before this month and after reading her YA trilogy slammed I wanted to read all of her books. Maybe Someday is a New Adult novel and it is the first that I have read so I thought I'd give it a go.

Maybe Someday is about a girl named Sydney who finds out that her boyfriend of two years has been cheating on her with her best friend and a musician names Ridge who has writer's block , Sydney moves into Ridge and his friend's apartment and she starts writing lyrics for his music.  This book has a duel perspective which is not something I like very much but with this book it definitely added to this story.

I can honestly say that this book is different from anything  else I've read . As I said this book is new adult and deals with serious topics that young adult  novels do not but this book gives you perspective on things that you will understand if you read it , when you first find out certain things about a particular character you will doubt that it could work in a book but Hoover has done it beautifully. Something else that differentiates this story from others is that there is a playlist which  goes along with it and the songs that are sung and written in the book can be heard on it , it really adds depth to the story!

This book made me feel happy , sad , frustrated and nervous  all at the same time and I loved every second of it. It is heart wrenching , adorable and hilarious and I love the characters aswell and the relationships between them.

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars and I would recommend it to anyone. If you're looking for a love story that is lacking of the typical cliches that discusses more serious topics and realistic feelings you should read this book!
I am definitely going to read more Colleen Hoover books aswell as try out some new adult  novels very soon!
